OVERVIEW
Central banks play a fundamental role in developing the domestic financial markets, assist in their growth and prosperity, protect them from sharp fluctuation and improve their financing abilities, in order to diversify the sources and mechanisms of long-term financing for public and private sector institutions.
In this regards, the Union of Arab Banks (UAB) in cooperation with Arab Federation of Exchange (AFE) and the Frankfurt Main Finance (FMF) will organize an online conference entitled “The Role of Central Banks in Supporting Capital Markets amid COVID- 19 Crises”.
This conference sheds light on the status of Arab financial markets, specifically capital markets, the required procedures for developing and further activating their role, and the long-term financing mechanisms, in light of the spread of the Covid-19 virus, focusing on the role of Arab central banks in developing and activating capital markets and stimulating a greater involvement of private companies in the sector.
