The Annual Chief Risk Officers (CROs) Forum – in its 4th edition
8 – 10 December 2022 Grand Rotana Hotel Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt
Today’s world is going through a difficult period and tragic conditions at various levels as a result of the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, followed by the consequences of the outbreak of the Russian- Ukrainian war, which resulted in devastation and financial collapses, represented by the catastrophic rise of energy prices due to the Russian / Ukrainian war, and the cease of furnishing Russian oil and gas to Europe, inflation, and shortage of int’l liquidity. All these factors caused more risk to banks.
These include all kinds of risks such as inflation, sovereign debt, climate change, cyber security, digital banking associated with digital transformation, credit, and interest rates.
Undoubtedly, these risks will leave very serious effects on our Arab banks, which imposes the need to address and cope with them and contain their consequences at this very sensitive stage, in cooperation with the national central banks and supervisory authorities.
This forum, which the UAB organizes in Sharm El Sheikh – Egypt In cooperation with the central bank of Egypt and the Federation of Egyptian banks aims at explaining & discussing the risks arising from critical crises that happen around the world, and their impact on our Arab banks, also highlighting the ramifications of successive global crises and indicating risks & challenges facing the Arab banking profession today, also discussing methods of developing risk management in the Arab banking industry to keep abreast of all procedures & emerging challenges. eg grand
