Today’s world is going through a difficult period and tragic conditions at various levels as a result of the consequences of Covid-19 pandemic, followed by the consequences of the outbreak of the Russian- Ukrainian war, which resulted in devastation and financial collapses, represented by catastrophic rise of energy prices due to the Russian / Ukranian war, and the cease of furnishing Russian oil and gas to Europe, inflation , and shortage of int’l liquidity. All these factors caused more risk on banks.
These including all kind of risk such as: inflation, sovereign debt, climate change, cyber security, digital banking associated with digital transformation, credit, and interest rate.
Undoubtedly, these risks will leave very serious effects on our Arab banks, which imposes the need to address and cope with them and contain their consequences at this very sensitive stage, in cooperation with the national central banks and supervisory authorities.
