Egypt: Cyber security between Standards & Practices

BACKGROUND:

The number and the sophistication of Cyber-attacks is growing at a very fast pace which is creating new security challenges for the financial sector around the globe and specially in the Arab region. The latter must intelligently address the new threats and effectively manage the associated risks in order to ensure the confidentiality availability and integrity of the data and information.

Cybersecurity professionals need to stay abreast of the latest updated information, trends and best practices to be able to cope with those challenges.

Variety of Cybersecurity standards, best practices and frameworks do actually exist, however choosing the right one is to start with, as well as the best practices to follow can be a time and effort consuming task.

Objectives:
By attending this conference, cyber security, IT, and business professionals will have a comprehensive view of existing standards, best practices and frameworks.

Hands-on experience will be shared with the audience and a survey aiming to get the state of cyber security in Lebanon and Arab countries will be gathered, analyzed and discussed with the audience during the workshop.
