BACKGROUND:
The course on the Foreign Exchange Market (Forex/FX) provides an in-depth understanding of the global marketplace for currency trading. Participants will gain knowledge about the historical development of Forex, the mechanics of Forex quotes, different types of Forex transactions, the role of central banks, various types of Forex risks, the concept of Leverage, the role of Forex brokers, and the intricacies of FX Swaps and Currency Options. Additionally, the course explores the significance of interest rates in Forex trading and offers insights into market participants, the size of the Forex market, and the impact of Forex transactions on the global economy. On the other hand the Money Market provides a comprehensive understanding of short-term financial transactions and the instruments involved in the market. Participants will explore the purpose and definition of the Money Market, the distinction between the Money Market and Capital markets, the role of central banks in shaping monetary policy, inter-bank rates, and the importance of marketable securities. Additionally, the course covers money market derivatives such as interest rate swaps and forward rate agreements, introduces participants to the bond market, and discusses various types of bonds and associated risks.
