The suddenness and almost immediate implementation of enforced work restrictions as a result of the pandemic may seem daunting to many and more specifically HR practitioners. It’s a ‘Great Pause’ of normality.
For the first time in the 21st century short history we witness a “planet earth” halt. Businesses are most likely to shrink operations if not close shop. Unemployment ratios are still climbing. Poverty and food insecurity margins are doing the same. Looking at the Domino effect of things, Banks around the world are as well among the sectors highly impacted.
Credit Cards, loans, facilities default in general, is most likely to be recorded. Only solid, agile innovative banks will be able to overcome this Global Wave. A wave which facets & magnitude are yet to be unfold.
Freezing, panicking or acting like sitting ducks doesn’t help. Covid-19 is here to stay.
It is reassuring that large numbers of companies and individuals had already embraced new ways of working before covid-19 made the whole world aware of this concept of social distancing.
A ‘reset’ is in the making and businesses are at different stages in their readiness plans.

Mrs. Dania Kaakani – WUAB HR Group Head, is a seasoned professional, who mastered her expertise in Human Resources (HR) and enjoys a comprehensive experience covering all HR array.
She started her career in 1990 and witnessed the transformation of the HR field from a mere administrative context to a fully-fledged science of human capital.
Dania assumed her first managerial position in 2002. In 2009, she was appointed as the Head of Human Resources at Bankmed s.a.l. During her tenure, Dania played a vital role relating to the Group’s major mergers, re-engineering and restructuring strategies.
In 2020, it was time to take a new turn and start a new venture. While maintaining her role as WUAB HR Group Head, she is today the Growth Ambassador of One Circle hr, a digital platform opening the door for across borders, well-seasoned HR consultants to join and provide HR service on demand.
Mrs. Kaakani holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and an MBA from the Lebanese American University (LAU). She is also a Myer Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) practitioner and a certified mediator (CPM-USJ).
