Objectives & Functions
Issuing the banknote and coins.
Directing the monetary policy and banking credit in order to realize the objectives of the State`s economy policy.
Managing the credit policy as the Central Bank determines the financing ceilings globally and sectorally.
Taking actions necessary to stabilize the value of the currency and its free conversion to other foreign currencies.
Supervising and controlling banks and financial institutions according to the provisions of the Law.
Functioning as banker for the Government within the limits prescribed by this Law.
Acting as a Bank for all the banks operating in the State.
Maintaining and employing the reserved funds allocated as cover to the currency.
