Live updates: Bitcoin tepidly on the rise as stocks slip
Bitcoin tepidly adding to gains as stocks slip
Bitcoin has moved back towards the high end of its recent tight trading range, gaining more than 2% over the past 24 hours to $64,900.
Following early June’s price collapse, bitcoin has spent the remainder of the summer to this point trading in an increasingly narrow price range of roughly $62,000-$65,000.
The rise comes as the U.S. tech sector struggles on Tuesday, with the Nasdaq sliding 1.1%. AI-related favorites like Micron, Intel, and Sandisk are down 5%-7%.
Crypto-related stocks are down sizably across the board. Coinbase is lower by 2.2%, Strategy by 3%, Circle by 3.5%, and Galaxy Digital by 4.4%.
