The Annual Forum for Chief Risk Officers (CROS) In Arab Banks 7 Edition
27 – 29 June 2025 Sharm El Sheikh – EGYPT
The accelerating geopolitical developments in the Eastern Mediterranean region and some other areas of the world, along with the recent developments represented by the protectionist policies adopted by the new administration in the United States, and their impact on intertrade and global stock markets, will increase uncertainty in the Arab region and necessitate addressing the challenges of heightened banking risks.
Additionally, technological advancements in the banking profession, including risks associated with artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and climate change, place new burdens and responsibilities on risk management professionals who must interact with these developments and work to mitigate their potential risks.
All these emerging topics will be discussed and addressed at this forum organized by the Union of Arab Banks, in collaboration with the Central Bank of Egypt and the Federation of Egyptian Banks.
This forum provides practical insights on coping with risks related to modern banking services and the appropriate technological solutions that should be adopted, as well as the risks arising from geopolitical developments in some countries of the region, in addition to sovereign debt sustainability and its impact on banks credit risk, which leads to enhance the safety of banks and ensures the preparedness of Arab banks to adapt to the new requirements of Basel Committee.
